General Qualifications and Job Description:

KAB Ekoloji is a consultancy firm specializing in biodiversity research for renewable energy projects. We are seeking full-time and part-time wildlife experts (birdwatchers or field biologists) to assess the impacts of various onshore and international wind farms on birds and bats.

Candidates deemed suitable for the position will be added to an expert pool managed by our company, and recruitment will be carried out from this pool according to the needs of each project.

If you are fascinated by the fauna and flora species in nature, work well in a team, have the discipline for systematic data collection, and are free to travel, then this job is just right for you!

Candidate Criteria:

  • Field experience: At least 2 years of birdwatching experience (e.g., having an active membership on nature observation portals such as eBird.org, Trakus.org, or iNaturalist, or a social media account (Instagram, Facebook) demonstrating experience in flora or fauna identification)
  • Teamwork experience: Bird counts, research camps, university clubs, mountaineering, caving, and other nature sports clubs or student programs
  • Education level: Anyone interested in nature and able to make systematic observations may apply
  • No barriers to travel
  • Basic computer skills: Owning a computer and being able to use MS Word and Excel at a basic level
  • Language skills: English or Russian (basic conversation)
  • Driving license: Class B
